The Payments NZ device lifecycle framework includes a 'no new connections date' - the date from which any new devices of a model can no longer be connected to the EFTPOS network. Due to supply chain disruptions related to the COVID-19 virus, which is affecting the ability of vendors to roll out later versions of the PCI standard, Payments NZ has changed the no new connections date for PCI v3.x and UPT v3.x devices from 30 April 2020 to 30 April 2021.
