Increasing the PIN limit for contactless payments

New Zealand’s payments industry is progressively rolling out a temporary increase to the PIN limit for contactless card payments to $200 over the coming days and weeks from Thursday 9 April. This increase is up from the current $80 limit for contactless cards. Raising the limit is a measure to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
