Submission on draft Digital Technologies Industry Transformation Plan

We recently made a submission on the Digital Technologies Industry Transformation Plan 2022-2032. In our submission, we commented that we were supportive of the publication of this draft plan as a means of providing clear and consistent signals on the future direction of the digital technologies sector.
We also highlighted that the strategic framing of the draft industry transformation plan aligns with the work Payments NZ is facilitating on behalf of the payments industry to modernise Aotearoa New Zealand’s payment systems. And we shared our view that the role of data in the economy and society will likely grow in importance and will be fundamental to how Aotearoa addresses issues of innovation, prosperity, inclusion, and inequality.
