Rabobank New Zealand joins the High Value Clearing System
13 Oct 2026
Rabobank New Zealand Limited has been admitted as a participant in the High Value Clearing System (HVCS) and commences participation on 13 October 2026.
For Rabobank customers, this is an infrastructure change behind the scenes and does not change how they make or receive everyday payments.
HVCS is operated by Payments NZ and supports the clearing of high-value payments between participating financial institutions.
As operator, Payments NZ maintains and administers the rules and standards governing HVCS and works with participants to support its safe, efficient and reliable operation.
Payments NZ Chief Executive Steve Wiggins said:
“We’re pleased to welcome Rabobank New Zealand as an HVCS participant.
“Participation is supported by common rules and standards that enable financial institutions to exchange payments safely and consistently.
“That is a critical part of Payments NZ’s role – providing shared foundations that support a trusted and well-functioning payments system for all New Zealanders.”
